The Choral Society of Pensacola is a group of volunteer singers who for 79 years have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and professionalism in Northwest Florida.
Our mission is to perpetuate the art of choral music through professional quality performances of a great variety of choral masterworks. The Choral Society of Pensacola strives to attract an ever-widening audience base through collaborations with other arts organizations, educational outreach programs, basic music training for prospective members, and programming choices that will appeal to the ever-changing face of the Gulf Coast.
The Choral Society of Pensacola has over sixty singers who have passed the rigorous auditions for full membership. The continued success of The Choral Society of Pensacola is due to a commitment on the part of the singing membership and Board of Directors, assisted by an enlightened corporate community sharing a common vision for a vibrant Northwest Florida. The volunteer Board of Directors is responsible for setting policies and maintaining fiscal accountability. A group of dedicated volunteers helps coordinate and carry out special events, including fundraising activities and artist hospitality.
Collaboration with other performing arts organizations, especially the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, the Pensacola Children’s Chorus and the Pensacola State College Concert Chorale, is also an integral part of the Choral Society’s mission.
